If you are using Fertigation (nutrients applied through irrigators) as part of your farm system, this article sets the the specific way to enter the nutrients applied through this method in OverseerFM.
1. Fertigation nutrients must be added as soluble fertiliser (highlighted) in the Fertiliser tab. After Clicking + ADD SOLUBLE, create a name for your fertigation nutrients and save.
2. You then click on the name and enter the product composition and applications – in terms of kg/ha of nutrients applied and the number of applications:
If this is a composition you are likely to use regularly across different analyses/farms, you can create a custom composition, to save time re-entering the details every time.
If an application is made to a pastoral block through which one or more fodder crops rotate – the model will only apply the fertiliser to the area not covered by the fodder crop(s) – the pastoral area. You will need to specify separately any applications to respective fodder crop block(s).
Note: You should not enter nutrients applied as changes to the values of the irrigation water in the Irrigation tab.
