Adding fertiliser mixes containing lime, such as Hatuma mixes, informs the Ca component in the nutrient budget but doesn’t affect the liming value in the acidity component of the model. The exception to this is rock phosphate (RPR) which the model assumes reduces acidity therefore has a liming value.
Acidity is important in calculating the maintenance fertiliser requirements.
Lime can be added as a separate product. When it is, the Ca content has a liming effect on the acidity component of the model.
