The farm home dashboard is a screen that consists of sections that summarise the farm.
This is the landing page for a farm account. Below is a screenshot of a farm home dashboard.
Each section on the screen is numbered and a brief explanation of each section is described below.
1. Navigation
When the hamburger icon next to the farm name is selected a menu is displayed so you can navigate directly to the sections of the farm account. Menu items displayed are limited to what you have access to depending on your level of farm account access.
Breadcrumb navigation links are situated here also and can be used when navigating around the farm.
2. Analyses
Shows the counts of publications and analyses grouped by analysis type - publications, year ends, plans, predictive and scenario analyses are counted. These are the counts of what you can see at your organisations access level when in the list of analyses. The 'view all' link takes you to the full list of analyses and publications.
3. Latest analyses (analysis and farm farm details)
This section shows farm details based on the latest analyses. The analyses N, P and GHG results are displayed along with the map of the farm based of that analyses.
If the analyses selected does not have any block drawings the map defaults to a map of New Zealand. The analyses can be changed and the farm details will be based off that analysis.
Brief details of the farms blocks, animals, crops and nutrients are shown in the tabs within that section.
The link 'view analysis' will take the user to the analysis that is selected.
4. Subscriptions
This section shows the history of the farms OverseerFM subscriptions. When the subscription was paid for, when it expired/expires, who paid for it and from what organisation that user was from. If there is no current subscription there will be a message stating that the farms subscription has expired.
Only organisations with owner, admin or write access can see this section.
5. Trends
The trends section gives the user the ability to scroll through the farm trends graphs which show the farm's results over time based on the farms year end analyses. By default the N loss graph is displayed however there is the ability to scroll through. You can link through to see all trends graphs from here by clicking the 'view all' link. The following results have trend graphs that can be viewed:
- N loss (kg/ha)
- N surplus (kg/ha)
- Nitrogen conversion efficiency (%)
- P loss (kg/ha)
- GHG (kg eCO2/ha)
- Methane (kg eCO2/ha)
- Nitrous oxide (kg eCO2/ha)
- Carbon dioxide (kg eCO2/ha)
- Average annual drainage (mm)
- Revised stock units (RSU/ha)
- N in synthetic fert on pasture (kg/ha)
- Productive area (ha)
- Irrigated area (ha).
The grey line on some charts is the median value for that metric for all farm accounts in New Zealand, for that year.
6. Latest farm activity
This section shows the latest activity in the farm account - where users have made changes to analyses or publications within the farm account. Here you will see:
- Who has recently been working on the farm analyses
- What analyses have been created or updated recently
- What analyses have recently been published.
The latest six activities are displayed, the 'view all' link will take you to a list of the latest 100 farm activities. Links are provided on the analyses/publication if you have access to these.
Please note: this list only shows one entry per analyses/publication per user per day. This means that if a user updates an analysis multiple times throughout the day only the most recent entry will show in this list.
Only organisations with owner, admin or write access can see this section.
7. Farm access
This section shows what access you and your organisation has to this farm (owner, admin, write, publication, publication access). It also shows a count of organisations that have each type of access. If a farm does not have an owner a warning message will be displayed in this section to remind users that this farm requires an owner.
A message will be displayed if there are pending farm access requests or farm access invitations on the farm for users to review.
This section is not displayed to users that have 'guest' access.
If you have owner or admin access to the farm the 'manage farm access' link will take you to the 'farm access' screen where you can:
- View organisations that have access to the farm and their access roles
- Accept/decline farm access requests
- Invite organisations to have access to the farm
- Set organisations to receive subscription reminder emails.
Only organisations with owner, admin or write access can see this section.
8. Farm groups
This section shows the count of how many farm groups the farm is a member of and if there are any pending invites the farm has to join a group. The 'view all' link will take you to the list of farm groups the farm is a member of.
Only organisations with owner, admin or write access can see this section.
9. Benchmarks
This section shows the selected analyses benchmarked against all other farms in OverseerFM. Each benchmark graph shows your farm's results against other farms in OverseerFM. Each graph shows the number of farms (y-axis) that have the result shown on the x-axis. The purple bar indicates your farm's position relative to the other farms.
The farms result that is benchmarked is based off the analysis that is selected. You can change the analysis to any analysis or publication you have access to.
If the analysis or publication has a year (i.e. a year end) that is not in the future the results will be benchmarked against that years results.
If the analysis or publication selected does not have a year it will be benchmarked against the latest years data.
The following results have been benchmarked and have graphs that can be viewed by scrolling through the farm dashboard, or all can be viewed by selecting the 'view all link:
- N loss (kg/ha)
- N surplus (kg/ha)
- Nitrogen conversion efficiency (%)
- P loss (kg/ha)
- GHG (kg eCO2/ha)
- Methane (kg eCO2/ha)
- Nitrous oxide (kg eCO2/ha)
- Carbon dioxide (kg eCO2/ha)
- Average annual drainage (mm)
- Revised stock units (RSU/ha)
- N in synthetic fert on pasture (kg/ha)
Only organisations with owner, admin or write access can see this section.
