OverseerFM release version 6.5.8 (minor model changes)

We released an update to OverseerFM on 10th November 2024.

The update of the Overseer model to version 6.5.8 addresses minor defects in model implementation identified by feedback from our users and through our model review and governance processes. 

 

Changes made to the software address:

  • Digestibility for grazing on crop/fodder blocks
  • Inclusion of imported effluents in nutrient runoff calculations
  • Adjustment of nitrogen leaching risk factors for dairy bulls
  • Refinement of milk solids (MS) calculations
  • Inclusion of imported effluent in acidity model
  • Correction of dolomitic lime definition
  • S net immobilisation
  • Improved calculation of soil labile potassium
  • Enhanced temperature validation criteria
  • Validation harvest triggered by the previous planting
  • Update calcium slow-release function
