The main aim of this study was to use New Zealand experimental data to develop a farm-specific methodology for estimating N2O EFs from animal urine.
A predictive algorithm in the Overseer environment for modelling farm-specific EFs of dairy cattle urine was developed utilising an N2O database.
The new algorithms were integrated into the Overseer model, therefore allowing estimates of N2O EFs to be farm- and livestock-specific and sensitive to slope.
