Model evaluations are essential to determine the robustness of Overseer and give confidence in its estimates. This study aimed to perform a specific type of evaluation that compared the Overseer model paddock-scale N leaching estimates with experimental data from paddock scale grazed pastures and showed the challenges and limitations of such an exercise.
