The Overseer model is an agricultural management tool that allows for the estimation of nutrient flows in a productive agricultural system and identifies potential risks to the environment through nutrient loss, including runoff and leaching, and greenhouse gas emissions.
The aim of this study was to perform a specific type of evaluation, a comparison of Overseer model paddock-scale N leaching estimates with experimental data from paddock-scale grazed pastures, and to show the challenges and limits of such an exercise.
