Milking herd size (peak cows/ha grazed), Milk production per cow (kg milk solids/ cow) and Milk solids (kg/ha grazed) is reported in Farm Details for a dairy farm.
Milking herd size (peak cows/ha grazed) is the number of milkers divided by area grazed. Number of milkers is the sum of the maximum monthly number of cows entered for each milking herd (mob). The month in which the maximum number of cows occurs may differ depending on the herd. If the peak number of cows is specified, the number of milkers is the entered peak cow number.
Milk production per cow (kg milk solids/ cow) is total milk solids divided by number of milkers.
Milk solids (kg/ha grazed) is total milk solid divided by area grazed.
